How To Ship:
The Honda Civic Hybrid's hybrid battery weighs 65lbs. We ship via FEDEX in heavy-duty cardboard cartons wrapped in several inches of bubblewrap.
If you purchase a BetterBattery, we will ship it to you in one of these 24"x18"x12" cartons, along with a prepaid return shipping label. After you install your new battery, you wrap your old one back up and put it in the box, affix the label and drop it off at a FEDEX location (or call them to pick it up).
If you choose a repair, we will ship you a carton and bubblewrap along with a prepaid return shipping label. Wrap your battery in the bubblewrap, put it in the box, affix the label and drop it off at a FEDEX location (or call them to pick it up). When we send your battery back to you, just discard the carton.
Rates:
We charge shipping and handling by shipping zone. These prices include round-trip shipping of your battery to us and your repaired or replacement battery to you.

Local Drop-Off:
If you are local, we encourage you to drop off and pick up your battery. If you are getting a BetterBattery and want us to install it, you can drive to us and drive home the same day with a repaired car. If you are dropping off the battery, we can refit your car with a bypass board so that you can drive your car while we fix the battery.
Battery Removal and Installation:
We can provide you with instructions on how to (safely) remove your battery from your car. It does not require advanced skills and requires only the following tools:
- 10mm socket
- 12mm socket and extension
- T-30 Torx driver
- voltmeter to test
